The 4 Days Kidepo Valley National Park Safari takes you to one of Africa’s most spectacular and least explored wilderness destinations. Located in the remote northeastern corner of Uganda, Kidepo Valley National Park is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, vast savannah plains, rugged mountains, and exceptional wildlife viewing.

Often described as Uganda’s most scenic national park, Kidepo offers a true wilderness experience far from crowded safari routes. The park is home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, leopards, ostriches, and numerous antelope species. This safari also provides opportunities to experience the unique culture of the Karamojong people who inhabit the region.

Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe or Kampala to Kidepo Valley National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Kampala or Entebbe and begin the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. The drive takes you through northern Uganda, passing rural communities, open plains, and beautiful countryside landscapes.

Arrive in Kidepo in the evening and check into your lodge. Relax and enjoy the stunning wilderness surroundings before dinner.

Day 2: Morning and Afternoon Game Drives in Kidepo Valley National Park

Start the day with an early morning game drive in the famous Narus Valley, the most wildlife-rich area of the park.

The valley’s permanent water sources attract large numbers of wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, hartebeests, and predators such as lions and leopards. Kidepo is also one of the few places in Uganda where cheetahs can be seen.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive to explore different sections of the park.

As the sun begins to set, enjoy spectacular views across the vast plains and surrounding mountains.

Day 3: Kidepo Valley Exploration and Karamojong Cultural Experience

After breakfast, embark on a game drive towards the Kidepo Valley, known for its dramatic landscapes and seasonal riverbeds.

This part of the park offers opportunities to spot ostriches, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species while enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery in Uganda.

Later, visit a Karamojong community and learn about the traditions, lifestyle, dances, and customs of one of East Africa’s most fascinating pastoral cultures.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Return to Entebbe or Kampala

After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe.

Arrive in the evening, marking the end of your Kidepo safari adventure.
