Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Serengeti National Park.

Enjoy breathtaking views of the highlands before descending onto the vast Serengeti plains. Arrive at the park in time for lunch before beginning your first afternoon game drive.

Search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, impalas, and numerous bird species.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart with packed lunch for a full day exploring the world-famous Serengeti.

Visit the wildlife-rich Seronera Valley, where permanent water attracts a wide variety of animals throughout the year. Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and many species of antelope.

If travelling during the migration season, you may witness thousands of wildebeests and zebras moving across the plains in search of fresh grazing.

Return to your accommodation in the evening.

Day 3: Second Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Enjoy another full day exploring different regions of the Serengeti.

Your guide will take you to areas offering the best wildlife viewing based on recent animal movements. Spend time observing predator behaviour, large herbivore herds, and the park’s diverse birdlife while enjoying outstanding photography opportunities.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive as you leave the Serengeti.

Drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area while enjoying wildlife sightings along the way.

Arrive at the crater rim in the afternoon and enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the Ngorongoro Crater before checking into your lodge.

Relax and prepare for the following day’s crater safari.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive.

The crater is home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife, including black rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, warthogs, flamingos, and numerous bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool before ascending the crater and beginning your drive back to Arusha.

Arrive in the late afternoon and transfer to your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Best Time to Visit

This safari is enjoyable throughout the year. The dry season from June to October offers excellent wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources and vegetation is less dense. From December to March, the southern Serengeti hosts the wildebeest calving season, while the dramatic river crossings of the Great Migration are typically seen between July and September in the northern Serengeti. Ngorongoro Crater provides outstanding wildlife viewing in every season due to its resident animal population.
